I really like zombie books told from the zombie's point of view. I have read a couple: Warm Bodies and Breathers: A Zombie's Lament and I have liked them both. Warm Bodies and Breathers, take place after the main characters have already become zombies while Zombified starts before Cassie becomes infected. Zombified is told from the point of view of 17-year-old zombie Cassie. This is a really, quick, clever read. The characters in this book have actually seen popular zombie movies so when zombies attack Cassie's school, at least the characters start acting practically, though they at first seem to be in shock and think the world has just gone crazy because of some kind of bath salt abuse. Cassie meets other infected and the group set out to search for a cure. This book doesn't quite end with a resolution, it is left open so perhaps there will be more adventures in the future for Cassie. 4 stars.
