Dawn is chained to a cliff and offered
as a sacrifice. But Dawn has the propensity for magic and greatness
and is given the choice to end a war and save people from
destruction. I thought this was a beautiful story full of magic. Bree
Vanderland has a really pretty, gentle, pure writing voice that works
well for fantasy. The story itself seems to be a blend of sci-fi and
fantasy. There is a spaceship but the Roseians
use magic. I thought the blending of the genres made for a very
interesting story. There were parts of it that reminded me a lot of
Star Wars. A very good beginning for a promising writer. 4 stars.
