“Well, I guess we’ve gone and proved that theory.” She turned toward him, worried he’d tense back up again. If it came down to it she’d just get him riled up for another go. It sure was a fun way to get the man relaxed.

Reed didn’t even look at her, and while he wasn’t as overwrought as before, tension lined his shoulders. “What’s that?”

“A good orgasm is an excellent way to relax.”

His laughter was spontaneous, genuine, and brought his attention back to her. The rigidity seeped from his shoulders. “Thought you weren’t interested in medicine.”

“I’m not. I’m interested in sex.”

“I can tell.”

“You noticed, hmm?” With a throaty chuckle, she let her fingers dance up along his back. She carefully traced the lines of his muscles with her fingers until she got to his shoulders. “You needed that. No guilt allowed.”

“Not used to causal sex with strangers.”

“Or welcoming total abandon. For someone who isn’t used to those things, you’re really very skilled at them.” She chuckled at his low growl. “I’ll give you a little leeway. We’ll try to resolve the practical stranger issue.”

“We will?” His palm ran along her hip, fingers grabbing on to pull her leg over his hip. “How will we do that?”

“An extended twenty questions.” She brushed her lips across his chest. “I’m calling this your very own personal brand of therapy. Your prescription includes regular extended visits with me. It’s where you’re allowed total abandon when you need it. To ease your mind, I’ll allow you two questions a session, if I get to return with my own questions.”

“Twenty questions? I expected spin the bottle.” His weight shifted until he pressed her down into the rug. Warm breath caressed her neck, sending shivers right to her core.

“Not enough people. Now ask your questions.”

“You first.”

“Cheater.” She giggled. “Fine. Favorite color?”

“That’s easy. Blue. Yours?”

“Green.” A soft moan slipped out as her nerves lit up under his nibbling teeth. “Age you lost your virginity.”

“Twenty one.”

“To Velli?”

“That’s another question.”

Noelle laughed. “Point to you. Your turn.”

“I return your question.” His words were muffled, not that she was complaining. There was another reason for it—his lips were dealing with far more pleasurable activities. At least to her.

“Nineteen.”

“We done with questions?”

“God, yes.” She welcomed his kiss, pulling his body tight against hers. The pounding on the door jolted through them both rudely, and she groaned. “Son of a bitch. I hate being interrupted.”

About the Author

Sarah Cass' world is regularly turned upside down by her three special needs kids and loving mate, so she breaks genre barriers; dabbling in horror, straight fiction and urban fantasy.  She loves historicals and romance, and characters who are real and flawed, so she writes to understand what makes her fictional people tick.  And she lives for a happy ending - eventually. She fights through the struggles of the day, knowing the battles are her crucible; she may emerge scarred, but always stronger.  The rhythms to her activities drive her words forward, pushing her through the labyrinths of the heart and the nightmares of the mind, driving her to find resolutions to her characters' problems.

While busy creating worlds and characters as real to her as her own family, she leads an active online life with her blog, Redefining Perfect, which gives a real and sometimes raw glimpse into her life and art.  You can most often find her popping out her 140 characters in Twitter speak, and on Facebook.

“Drink up, bitches. It’s time to get our dance on, and we know Ashley won’t dance without a buzz. So down the shots and those drinks.” Julia holds up her shot in the air and screams, “Here’s to the night and all it brings. And, here’s to the hottie who wants a fling!”
We crack up laughing and down the shot. I wave at the waitress, asking for another shot. I look over at Eagle and see him shaking his head, shoulders shaking with laughter. I’m glad he’s here.
“Okay, so, hooker, what’s going on? I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m all for drool-worthy bodyguards, but I know something’s up,” Ashley states as we wait for our next round.
“Oh, hell no, you can’t start without me you cocking cockstorm jockey suckers!” A male voice sounds behind me. Squealing with excitement, I turn and jump into Andy’s open arms.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see Eagle tense up and start to come our way. I quickly let Andy go, step back, and introduce them to each other. Eagle takes shakes his hand, and then walks back to his spot to continue watching us.
“We wouldn’t dream of it.” I smile brightly at him. “How did you know we’d be here?”
“Chris told me that you were going to hang with the girls tonight. Since, he’s meeting with Neil and won’t be home until late…well, I figured I’d come and hang with you girls. Now, I need a drink!” Andy picks up a shot and raises it in the air, “A toast. We drink to those who love us, we drink to those who don’t. We drink to those who fuck us, and fuck those who don’t!”
We all slam our drinks back and shake our heads. Having Andy here really makes the night even better. He has a way of bringing joy out of a bad situation, and his love for his friends and family is fierce. I’m lucky to be a part of that circle.

BOUND, the fourth novel in Juliet Braddock’s “Manhattan Bound” series of four books, is available at most major e-book retailers on October 11.

Amazon bestselling author Juliet Braddock’s first efforts in creative writing came long before she learned to put crayon to paper.  In fact, she began spinning stories in her head nearly as soon as she could form complete sentences.  As long as she can remember, she’d always created sagas about imaginary friends, family members and pop culture icons, and kept everyone around her entertained with her witty—but often very tall—tales.

For her sixth Christmas, Juliet’s mother got her a child’s typewriter to preserve all of those creative thoughts filling her head, but she quickly switched to ball point pens and notebooks when the ribbon ran dry.

Most of Juliet’s early attempts at writing romance focused on members of Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet or young leading men on Broadway.  However, as she matured as a writer, she decided that it was just as much fun to create her own romantic heroes and heroines.

At an early age, she also developed a love for big cities, and the tallest of skyscrapers were never high enough for her.  Juliet’s wanderlust would eventually lure her to New York, a city she often visited during her formative years, and her love affair with Manhattan began.  She’d promised herself that one day she would return for good.

Juliet’s passion for writing and for big cities converged, and after graduating with a degree in Journalism, she decided to set out on a journey to find her heart…just where she’d left it.

A week after her college graduation, Juliet made the big move from a small town to New York City, where she has made her home ever since.

In between building a career in communications and writing on the side, she’s indulged in international travel, theater and art.  A wine and food buff, she’s by no means a connoisseur, but she can give a few good restaurant recommendations if you’re in the city.

“There’s something so inspiring about living in a city like New York that’s so rich in culture and so very vibrant. Every neighborhood has its own story to tell,” Juliet says.  “I often do my best plotting on the subway, just observing the lives unfolding around me.  New York truly has a billion stories nestled between the skyscrapers.”

A proud Manhattanite, Juliet couldn’t live anywhere else—except for Paris, perhaps—and is a gushing cat-mom to a Russian Blue mix who was rescued as a kitten from the streets of Brooklyn.

Reclaim (Book 3): The Greaters have ruled over the Lessers since The Fall. They’ve taken Abby’s family. They’ve taken her friends. They’ve taken her hostage and threatened the villages.
Enough is enough. Freedom is worth fighting for. Love is worth dying for.

A SLAM JOLTED ME OUT of my slumber. Another bang echoed in the front of the cabin, and footsteps hurried to my door. I didn’t know how long I’d slept, or if it was still daylight, but I was still tired and wanted to retreat back into the sweet abyss again. My door opened, and I turned my head to see my aunt standing in the doorway. “What happened, Abby?” She rushed over. I tried to push myself up, but my back was so stiff. The skin even felt stiff. How was that possible? I winced. “Stay down. Let me see.” She gingerly lifted the back of Ky’s shirt and peeked underneath. The fabric slowly peeled away from my skin where the bandages Evelyn had applied didn’t quite reach, or had shifted, and it felt like part of the wounds tore open again. A hiss escaped from between my teeth at the same time a curse flew from her lips.  “Evelyn sent more salve. She said that your body would absorb part of it and that more would have to be packed in.” Lulu helped me sit up and, one by one, I unbuttoned the shirt and again pried it away from my back. The only portion not torn to shreds from the fifteen lashes was the part my bra had covered; although, by the last lash, it only hung on by a thread. “Evelyn came to the depot. She said you’d been injured and gave me the medicine and salve. I had no idea. Did Norris do this?” All I could do was nod. Lulu took my shirt as I laid back down on my stomach and tried to remain as still as possible while she packed my wounds. Having left the room, I could hear her banging around in the kitchen before she returned with a steaming mug containing more of the special tea. I gulped it down, hoping it would help numb the pain like it had before. When my head hit the pillow, I fell asleep almost immediately. Something was touching my face, caressing my cheek. The skin that brushed mine was rough, hardened by the work we all shared. Am I dreaming? I waited, trying to see if it was real or part of a dream. Whichever it was, it was nice, comforting. Rough fingertips moved over the parts of my back that weren’t split open and packed with gunk. I sucked in a breath and held it. It was real. I moved my head and saw his silhouette against the candlelight flickering in from the kitchen and living room. “Ky?” My voice was raspy and barely sounded like my own. Sleep and exhaustion filled every chord. “Shh. I’m here.” Suddenly, I was very aware I was lying shirtless on my bed. Even though I was on my stomach, that didn’t help me feel any less naked in front of my best friend—who happened to be a member of the male species—a very fine specimen according to my girlfriends. I knew he was handsome. I wasn’t blind. But I didn’t see him like that. He’d dated many of my friends and was getting ready to marry Paige Winters after the harvest was complete and the orchards picked bare. His fingertips traced the intact skin between my shoulder blades, and I tensed under his touch. He’d kissed my head and temple and hugged me more times than I could count, but that was different; it was more intimate. His touch was delicate, gentle compared to his normal strength, and anything but playful. “Ky?” He didn’t answer. His fingers explored my back, careful not to stray too close to the wounds streaking across my skin. “Kyan?” “Shut up, Abby. Just let me... Just shut up.” He’d never talked to me like that. His voice was raspy, and he’d never, ever told me to shut up before. So I did. I wasn’t sure why. He shouldn’t have been touching my skin. Shouldn’t have been caressing the good parts left; but, sitting with me in the dark, he was doing exactly that, and I was allowing it.

Endless Obsession by Alex Grayson Cover Reveal ~ Kami

3...2...1....

COVER REVEAL!

I’ve silently watched her for a year, staying hidden in the shadows, biding my time.
She may know me as two different men, but she doesn’t have a clue what I’ve done.
She unknowingly became mine the minute my eyes touched her beauty.
But I’ve done things. Things she may not be able to forgive.
I know all her secrets, her habits, her preferred coffee, what she does in her spare time, her favorite lingerie brand, even that she sleeps naked.
At night, I watch her from her window. During the day, I watch her from my computer. She innocently bares her heart and body to me, and I soak up every single fucking second.
I’ve stayed away, but I’m tired of watching from afar. It’s time Poppy finds out just who I am and what I’m willing to do to take what’s mine. She may hate me when she finds out my what I’ve done, but she has no choice but to accept it. She will be my wife. She will mother my children. I will claim every part of her heart, body, and soul. Anything else is unacceptable.
Poppy Lexington has become my endless obsession. I will become her uncontrollable addiction.

The woman frantically tries to get the key in the lock before he reaches her, but isn’t fast enough when he stops at her back. She spins around as he bends at the waist, trying to catch his breath. Fucking asshole is so weak he can’t even catch his breath after jogging twenty feet. Again, my dick takes notice at the harsh look on her face as she watches the guy.
He stands and says something to her. I can’t hear through the window of my Lexus, but whatever it is, causes the woman to curl her lip up in disgust. She cocks out a hip, throws her hand on it, pokes his chest with her other hand, and screeches loud enough for me to hear. “You pig! Stay the hell away from me!” A rumbling laugh escapes my lips as I witness the firecracker take down the idiot in front of her. She’s so different than the woman I know. I can’t really blame the guy for trying. After all, I’m just as fascinated with her as he is. Hell, I’ve been watching the woman for a year now. The first time I saw her I had just walked out of Colt’s office. He’s a good friend of mine, who also happens to be a client. Something caught my attention, and I looked over and nearly fell to my knees at the beauty sitting on the brown plush leather couch in the waiting area. After unsticking my jaw from the floor, I turned to him to demand he tell me who she was. “Poppy Lexington,” he supplied, looking down at a file in his hand. “She’s here for an interview for the receptionist position.” Without thinking, I told him immediately, “Don’t hire her.” Even though my eyes were glued to Poppy, I still felt his questionable stare. “Refer her to my office. Make up some excuse if you have to… I don’t care. Just get her to my office.” When he didn’t answer after several seconds of silence, I turned to him and caught him watching me warily. I raised a brow in question. No words were spoken—none were needed. He knew I was serious by the look on my face. Since that day  I’ve lived, breathed, and slept Poppy. I know where she lives, obviously, and I also know where she works, who her family and friends are, her favorite foods, and how she takes her coffee. I know what she does on weekends and holidays, what size shoe she wears, what shampoo she uses, and the brand of her toothpaste. I know her mortgage and car payment, when they are due, what credit cards she has, and even the purchases she’s made with them. I know the layout of her house, what’s in her closet, that she likes expensive lingerie, and that she sleeps nude. The first time I witnessed the latter, I damn near lost control and gave myself up. I ended up jacking off in a pair of her silk panties. Sick? Yes, absolutely. But it was either that or crawl into bed with her, which wasn’t an option. I’m not up to getting thrown in jail for breaking and entering, or taking the chance of her finding me out. Fuck no. I need her too much. I need her to know and accept me, without making a mess of things. It wasn’t until recently, the last few months, that I’d gotten into a position where I could approach her the way I want to. However, I’m not ready yet. I’m having too much fun with my current game with regards to her. A game she knows nothing about, but still participates in. Hell, who am I kidding? This isn’t a game, it’s more of an uncontrollable obsession. I love watching her, knowing she’s oblivious to it. It turns me on more than I’ve ever been before. I think it may be time to change things a bit though. Make it more thrilling. I plan to reveal myself to her soon, my body is in constant demand of that, and I know my control will snap soon, but the timing needs to be perfect. I have a key to her house and frequently visit her while she sleeps. When I can’t be there in person, which has happened too much for my liking, I can always pull up the video feed I have on my phone and computer. Yes, I have cameras in her house, as well. The woman has completely taken over my mind and there’s not a damn thing I can do to stop it. Not that I want to. Poppy’s mine, she just hasn’t been informed of it yet. Some might say I’m sick and demented, that I should be locked away for my obsessive behavior. That may be true, but I’m not the typical kidnap-the-victim-and-rape-and-torture-stalker. I have no desire to hurt Poppy. I won’t force her to do anything she doesn’t want to do. I won’t kill her if I can’t have her, but I’ve embraced my obsession and will use every damn thing I have in my power to prove to her that she belongs to me, and only me. She will know that I’m the only man for her and that I will love, cherish, and worship the very fucking ground she walks on.

Alex Grayson is originally from the south, but has recently moved to Northern Ohio. Although she misses the warmth of Florida and often times detest the cold of Ohio, she absolutely loves living in the north. Her and her husband bought a house on two acres of land and live there with their daughter, son, one dogs, two cats, eight ducks, and three chickens. She hopes to eventually get a couple of goats to add to their country way of living. Besides her family and home, her next best passion is reading. She is often found with her nose obsessively stuck in a book, much to the frustration of her husband and daughter. On more than one occasion Alex found herself wanting a book to go a certain way, but it didn’t. With these thoughts in mind, she decided to start writing stories according to her own visions. Although this is a new endeavor for her, she hopes that readers find her concepts on romance intriguing and captivating. Alex welcomes and encourages feedback, of any kind.
