I have not read the first book The
Strings of the Violin so I wasn't sure exactly where we were when
this book began. I didn't find it too difficult to catch up though.
In the first book, from what I've gathered, Carrie rescues a fox who
is no ordinary fox. And then Carrie and her two friends are
transported to a magical land called Hadariah. Now eighteen-year-old
Carrie is a college student and missing her friends. Except no one
seems to remember Lindsay and Rebecca but her.
This reads as young adult, epic
fantasy. I thought the writing was pretty good and it was fast paced.
3 stars.
