The Dybbuk’s Mirror by Alisse Lee Goldenberg review and giveaway ~Kami

I have not read the first book The Strings of the Violin so I wasn't sure exactly where we were when this book began. I didn't find it too difficult to catch up though. In the first book, from what I've gathered, Carrie rescues a fox who is no ordinary fox. And then Carrie and her two friends are transported to a magical land called Hadariah. Now eighteen-year-old Carrie is a college student and missing her friends. Except no one seems to remember Lindsay and Rebecca but her. This reads as young adult, epic fantasy. I thought the writing was pretty good and it was fast paced. 3 stars.

Trying to contact Lindsay and Rebecca to get help in unraveling the mystery, Carrie discovers that her friends are in fact missing. With no way of knowing who to trust, Carrie must find a way back to the land she once saved to rescue her friends from the dybbuks’ clutches.
Reuniting with the dybbuk princess Emilia, and finding a new friend in the mysterious farmer Mikhail, Carrie must once again do battle with Asmodeus’s forces, and help stop the chaos that threatens to overtake the land while striving to save both Lindsay and Rebecca.
