MY REVIEW:
I haven't read any other books in this series and this book is number three. It reads like a standalone and I don't think I am missing anything. Nicholai is a demon and Simone is a witch. Vampires and demons are nemeses fighting wars against each other. Nicholai was going to ask Simone to marry him a century ago but a prophecy told him not to. This is a fast paced read and the writing is good. The story kept my interest. 4 stars
