This is a really good urban fantasy story with lots of magic, monsters and a spunky, young female protagonist. Just the kind of book that I love. Lila accidentally gets in the middle of a mob feud. Her mother was killed because of the Families and Lila has been trying to avoid them since. A really, exciting, well written magical adventure. I look forward to reading the next book. 5 stars.
