Two men, Joey and Thomas are robbing a
store for $266. An old man watches and giggles at the antics of the
thieves. The old man, Louis is very strange, Joey is crazy and
Thomas just follows along with Joey, even though he doesn't seem to
be all that bad. Louis starts telling the pair a story. The story
building is really good, the pacing is good, the characters are
interesting. You aren't sure in the beginning what is going on or
what is going to happen. The suspense and feelings of uncertainty are
very palpable making this an interesting read that hooks you from the
beginning and holds your attention. This story reads like a Stephen
King story. It also reminded me of the movie The Usual Suspects where
you don't know what is really going on until the end. 4 stars
